Today, I will introduce you 5 useful plugins for Firefox. They help to make things simple!

First one: The Resurrect Pages

This plugin can help you to visit unavailable website with its cache from google and other snap cache website. You just need to install it in your Firefox, and click with a button. It is very easy to use and powerful.

Second, the “smart link” which will open plain text URLs.

You may confuse that what the hell is this? For example, you want open a website, however due to some boardband  reason, it is slow… and hard to be open. In this situation, you can use the smart link to open this page, it will remove all the picture, css and js codes, in order to make it open faster.

Third, the Copy Link URL.

This one will help you to copy all the links on a page. That will save you lots of time when you need to collect links data!

Fourth, A famous Seo extension “SEOQuake”.

This is a super tool for seo, you can check the webpage’s ranking, backlinks, traffic and many many more stuffs. Also, it will show these seo datas in EACH of the google search result!

Finally, the pass words saver

This plugin will remember all your pass words, and lock them with one pass word. So next time you need to login a website, you don’t need to put in your pass words and account each time. It is really helping.

Jorge Romero, a man from Chicago, downloaded the first four episodes of 24 Season 6 because they had leaked onto the internet before they aired. However, once he had them he didn’t just watch them – he decided to re-distribute them an another site, LiveDigital.com. He uploaded the first two on January 6th, and the next two the following day.

Now, the FBI is charging him “in the criminal complaint with uploading copyrighted material to a publicly accessible computer network knowing the work was intended for commercial distribution.” The episodes he had uploaded were discovered by News Corp. (which owns FOX) on January 8th, only one day after he had finished uploading them all, and they eventually sent a subpoena to LiveDigital.com to find out who he was. On April 4th he admitted that he had uploaded the episodes, and now he could face up to three years in a federal prison.

Twentieth Century Fox TV sent a statement to the FBI and U.S. Attorney’s Office thanking them for putting piracy above more important issues:

“We hope it will serve as a powerful warning that uploading copyrighted TV shows and movies to the Internet can be a crime with significant penalties and will be prosecuted as such. Video-hosting sites such as LiveDigital.com and YouTube are not copyright-free zones, and individuals like Jorge Romero who post episodes of television shows, particularly before they are even broadcast for the first time, will face harsh civil and criminal sanctions.”

That sucks so much… FOX is so full of crap… jailing a guy for three years, just because he uploaded a couple of episodes? It’s not like people still wouldn’t watch it on the tv. Jesus.

You might have heard of a Transformers movie coming out soon. You might have even bought related merchandise. Heck, you might be camping outside your nearest theatre as you read this. Apparently, Transformer action figure sales are probably reaching an all-time high, and the latest range from Hasbro crosses coolness with innovation.

This range of Hasbro’s Transformers, titled “Real Gear Transformers” actually become hand-held consoles, binoculars, or as the above example shows, a camera. Read on to find a series of more pics of the awesomeness.

Everyone’s favorite FOX owned gaming site, IGN, has played Guitar Hero III, and has the first world premiere videos of the game in action for Guitar Hero fans to salivate over until the game launches this fall.

These 2 videos feature “Slow Ride” and “My Name is Jonas”, both of which we found out about a few days ago. You’ll notice that Neversoft has totally redesigned the HUD, and I’m not really sure if I like it yet, although I have a feeling it’ll probably grow on me. Another thing is that it doesn’t look like they’ve made any gameplay changes, so you won’t have to learn the game all over again.

I’ll shut up now so you can just watch the videos. Hit the jump where I’ve uploaded them to Youtube as to avoid IGN’s shitty streaming system.

I LOVE MY NAME IS JONAS! They should do a version entirely of Weezer’s first and second albums. I’d buy it.

It’s a shame in Guitar Hero they make stuff like the finger picking intro to My Name is Jonas (also with Boston’s More Than a Feeling) way harder than it would be in real life, because there’s nothing like finger picking on the Guitar Hero controller.
Norguard Says:
May 31st, 2007 at 12:19 am

Fair enough, and I’d be right on board for a Guitar Hero: “Blue and Pink… …erton”

But with fingerpicking, it generally requires the use of four, if not five fingers, plus whatever fretting the song calls for. Songs like Dust in the Wind, or even Shape of my Heart would be nigh on impossible, let alone the intro to Crazy on You, which even on expert is a walk in the park compared to the original, as far as necessary dexterity is concerned.

For the record, I’d love to see Don Ross’ “Dracula & Friends Pt.1″ on one of these games. Then I’d like to see somebody ace it on expert. I’d be willing to settle for Kimblim or Robot Monster, as well.

Early this morning a multitude of new information was revealed about Halo 3 due to an article in Gamepro. The user who found it included plenty of pictures, but unfortunately they were very low resolution and not great quality.

However, more have now been posted, and this time they are full scans, and are much higher quality. Halo 3 is shaping up to be a very good game, and every new bit of information makes it look even more awesome.

Here they are, 14 glorious pictures of the biggest game this year (click them for high resolution):

UPDATE:

Some of the missing information has been posted (although no scans yet). There isn’t much that we didn’t already know, but here it is anyway:

This game is gonna be awesome. ITs just a beta, things can change and will change. There are tons of surprises left especially in the single player, and multi-player will just be worked on to perfection even more because of the beta. And the graphics, stop complaining. for those who complain, use your eyes, the graphics are better, models are better, environments are much better. If you expected Gears of war like graphics then play that game, This is halo and they have to stick to the same art style and design. And the amount of stuff happening in multiplayer and im assuming single player, the graphics hold up very well. Halo fans know the graphics are good. i think they are awesome, has anyone seen the red vs blue episode when they used the halo 3 engine, did u not see the difference, if you didnt then you must be blind. This game will be awesome, no ifs ands or but’s about it. When it does come out all those b*tches who were crying about it will have to give bungie a serious apology for being such a b*tch.

Bungie has a secret game in the making. there is no name for it yet, or any info on it, just that it is going to be halo based. Anyway, back to the article, the graphics for the halo 3 beta are amazing. I think that the people who whine about the graphics are the people without xbox live who havent actually seen the graphics.
Jordan Says:
June 5th, 2007 at 10:32 am

Oh and also, who agrees that the needler is WAY TO OVERPOWERED? It shoots at least 9 rounds per second and kills anyone with 7 or 8 needles. ITS CRAZY! That is the best weapon in the beta besides the spartan laser.
Shane Says:
June 5th, 2007 at 4:32 pm

yo jordan i think the same, and you have to use it to your advantage. no one in the beta really uses the needeler. my fav weapons are the carbine ( which is also a bit overpowered ) and either shotgun, sniper, or needler. Spartan laser is cool but not that great when in close combat. people are dump when they leave it out and try to use it close combat. gamertag anyone?

zizzy Says:
June 5th, 2007 at 7:33 pm

@Jordan (#35)
Yeah, I actually covered this a while ago. Doesn’t have any information on what it will be though.

@Shane (#39)
Bungie has stated that Halo 3 is the final chapter in the trilogy, so there will not be a Halo 4.
However, there will definitely be more Halo games. First there’s Halo Wars, then Peter Jackson’s unnamed project (not the movie), and then the above, unannounced Halo game.
So while there will be more Halo games, there will not be a “Halo 4.”

Wow, thanks for the scans! Now I don’t have to blow 5.99 on a magazine I have never particularly liked. This game IS going to be freaking sweet! I have a 46 1080p aquos, with HDMI from an elite, and this game is simply stunning graphically (and still in the Beta phase). My fave are the intricate designs contained on metal surfaces (Valhalla, look closely at the metal). There are also many other intricate details that I am sure most go without noticing, but they’re there, and add to the complexity of the graphical experience.

Also, I have had the honor of taking a Banshee into outer space in Valhalla (custom games are sweet!). Did you know that Bungie has programmed an atmosphere? Graphically, not literally. When heading up into space (it’s way up there), they sky fades to black and the stars become brighter, all I could say was “Holy Crap!!!!” As you turn back down, besides some crazy visuals, you can see a blue sphere of atmosphere bellow. Sky diving is a heck of allot of fun, but don’t land in the snow, the Guardians will kill you.

Well, well… all in all, I’d have to say I really like what they have in store for us with HALO 3.

The new weapon sets are pretty darn kewl, although I have to admit some of the designs for the alternate Spartan MJOLNIR armor look kinda odd. Just doesn’t look right, imho.

Give me the Master Chief’s good ol’ standard USMC-issue armor any day! 😀

The new armor designs were yet another feature bungie added that will go unappreciated, and possibly loathed by players of Halo 3. Especially so hated if any statistical advantages are given to any one set of armor. it would seem possible that the helmet with the large visor would be more penetrable to impact, but it seems as if there is a crease present, signifying another layer of material, perhaps compensating for the lack of metal covering. I would assume that this was a feature again added, much like the emblem feature and further color customization and the ability to play as a Covenant Elite added in Halo 2, to distinguish player from player.

I, personally, prefer playing as an Elite, so I am very excited to hear that armor variants will be availible for the elites as well as spartans. I’m a fan of individuality and customization in any way, and i feel that looking at the same player model every game gets rather old.

As far as the new maps, weapons and vehicles, they all look rather splendid. I stand rather disappointed at some of the features removed from certain weapons, most noteably that the zoom is still removed from the magnum and the non-dual weildable needlers.

By any means, Halo 3 will be quite a spectacle, with both the incredibly enhanced graphic quality and obviously more varied gameplay. Not to mention the finale of the storyline we’ve been following since the first cutscene of Halo: Combat Evolved. It shall not disappoint, I guarantee it.

I think it is gonna be amazing but i thought the grunts were with the elites. Still… is seems amazing and just saying the pictures on the top part of the page confused me. Are other soldiers wearing master chief soots now. And i was also confused when you make your own master chief, can you change the helmet and amour and all that? But as i said i seems real good.

Looks like lawl got his grubby little hands on this radtacular scan from the new Rambo movie! While not a lot of information comes along with this fascinating little gem, I managed to use my level 12 “Languages” skill to decipher a little bit of the text, which I believe is I-talian.

At the top:

The fourth episode of the saga. Sylvester Stallone returns as the Vietnam veteran, John Rambo.

And at the bottom

Cast and thoughts: Sylvester Stallone in a scene from “John Rambo”, the fourth and final episode in the saga of the Vietnam veteran. (And then something about this reminding the author of Hemingway?)

I’m a sucker for the Rambo films, and if you’re not, I’m assuming you’re a dirty communist. This still-frame alone is way more promising than news of digital Ahnuld. Maybe they should just get Max Headroom to play the Terminator in the next movie.

Gary Wells just spent 600 bucks on a brand new PS3 and decided to have a little party on Friday night to celebrate his ballin’ purchase. With no need for his old PS2 anymore, he set up a drawing to choose who gets to destroy it in whatever way they decide. Everyone put their names in a bowl, and by the end of the night when everyone was drunk off their ass, they held the drawing and Gary’s friend Mike won.

This is where it gets interesting; in a blaze of drunken glory, Mike proceeded to unzip his pants and urinate all over the obsolete PS2, not realizing it was still plugged in. Within seconds, the electricity came up through his urine stream, knocking him unconscious on the floor. He was taken to a hospital and released with no injuries.

I guess the moral of this story is: Next time you decide it’s a smart idea to relieve yourself onto a video game console, think again.

Update: Ok, guys. Maybe this story will turn out fake, and the whole Mythbusters explanation points at it, but when major news networks start running stories, I have to imagine they would validate the story with the local police/hospitals.

He had to have been REALLY close to the PS2 to get electrocuted by it. It takes a solid stream of liquid to act as a conductor, even on high-voltage rail. Urine usually breaks up into smaller drops (like any similar liquid stream) only a few inches from the person. Seperate drops != conductive stream.

Unless his urethra is half an inch in diameter…

The amount of electricity needed to do that would be more than a ps2 can produce…

Second, even if it did conduct, the electric shock wouldn’t be enough to knock a person unconscious.

electro guy:

You ever had enough power to run a ps2 mainlined into the head of your dick? I’m just curious. If it continued further, it could have been conducted all the to the source of the urine, his bladder. I bet your insides are sensitive.

Not only that, but something as simple as a tattoo or piercing is enough to knock someone out if their body triggers enough endorphines. I passed out from a tongue piercing that didn’t even hurt.

I helped a guy out of a crowd that passed out from getting too hot the other night.

I’m not saying it is or isn’t true, I’m saying that’s a strong zap to some very sensitive parts of the body, and is far from impossible.
Michael Says:
May 16th, 2007 at 12:39 pm

Considering there have been experiments that have used MUCH higher voltage that have proved that a stream of urine is just not cohesive enough to conduct electricity to the human body, I really doubt this article.

The person had to have his anatomy like 2 inches from the unit.
Dexter345 Says:
May 16th, 2007 at 12:42 pm

I’m with Michael… I watched a Mythbusters on this once. Electricity can’t go up a pee stream unless the dude was super close to the PS2 (which I guess is entirely possible).
jc Says:
May 16th, 2007 at 1:54 pm

you’d have to have

“your unit touching the unit”, or
“your junk on the piece of junk”

not to mention that most consumer electronics are build expressly to make it next to impossible to touch anything high voltage inside. and I dunno what voltage is inside a PS2 but it’s probably +/-24VDC and +/-5VDC and a few tiny spots right at the power cord where there’s some 120VAC – barely enough to wake you up let alone knock you out.

A user by the name of Go32111 has gotten the newest Gamepro (Issue 226, July 07), and it is full of information on Halo 3. Fortunately, he posted it all for everyone to see. There is plenty of information on weapons, vehicles, maps, and customization, and even some that was until now unrevealed.

First, the weapons:

Magnum – The Magnum is much improved since Halo 2, dishing out slower, more punishing shots. But it’s still not back to Halo 1 strength, as the clip currently carries just eight rounds and you can’t zoom in. Still a nice, precise choice for dual-wield combos.

Energy Sword – The infamous Sword gets two tweaks aimed at balancing its overwhelming power. One change is a brief weapon-switch delay. The second adjustment is more controversial: the Energy Sword now has an ammo meter that depletes with each attack, which keeps players from hoarding it indefinitely.

While those weapons certainly aren’t new, they have changed and will be very different in their new forms. Vehicles is where it really starts to get interesting though:

Wraith – The lumbering Covenant Wraith returns with a new player-operated secondary turret. It’s helpful for driving off boarding attempts.

Brute Chopper – This ugly, jagged Brute Chopper looks like something Firefly’s Reavers might drive into battle. Its twin cannons nad [sic] heavy, blade-like chassis can pulverize lesser vehicles in a nanosecond.

The wraith may be nothing new, but the Brute Chopper definitely is. It sounds really awesome, and will be a great alternative to the banshee.

As for equipment, there is only one new:

Radar Jammer – Hurl this item into a fight and watch as chaos and confusion engulf friend and foe alike. The jammer scrambles the radar of all nearby players and triggers disco-like light flashes to further disorient your prey.

This is very different than the grav lift, bubble shield, and power drainer we have already, and could make things even more chaotic then they can already be. Then there are the new maps:

Shrine – A UNSC battle cruiser looms menacingly over Shrine’s sprawling sand dunes. Shrine is the largest map ever to appear in a Halo game, so Bungie put a key emphasis on vehicle-on-vehicle combat. Shrine has few ties to older Halo 2 maps, but its massive size recalls Relic.

Epitaph – Epitaph is an arcane Forerunner cathedral-like structure that towers above the surrounding wasteland. The central killing floor is crisscrossed with elevated walkways, exterior hallways, and lifts. It’s a spiritual successor to Halo 2 maps like Colossus, Gemini, and Midship.

Last Resort – Zanzibar, one of Halo 2’s most beloved maps, has been rebuilt and rechristened Last Resort for Halo 3. This industrial site is almost twice as big, with a less cluttered internal layout and more paths into the flag room.

Those sound good, and will be nice after so long playing the same three maps. There is also one more, an unnamed map, although it is still unfinished:

Bungie sneakily sent us two mysterious concept paintings labeled only as “Work in Progress Map.” We see the icey motif and pray for a new Lockout, but only Bungie knows the truth.

The last bit is about customization. You will have much more control over how you look than in the first two Halos, or even the beta:

Halo 3’s online mode offers new armor permutations that allow players to customize their personas from head to toe. Will the Covenant Elite player models be eligible for similar upgrades? Only Bungie knows.

Considering how awesome the beta is, once new weapons, vehicles, maps, equipment, and options are added, not to mention an entire single player campaign, Halo 3 is going to be a seriously awesome game (No matter what anyone else says). September 25th can’t come fast enough.

I always thought the Energy Sword from Halo 2 ought to have ammo, or at least the option for it. It made no sense to give it ammo in the campaign but leave it infinite in the multiplayer.

What I really want to see as far as maps go are remakes and/or spiritual successors to Chiron and Sidewinder from Halo 1. Rockets on Chiron is awesome, and some of my favorite CTF games happened on Sidewinder.
